What I’m working on now

Well, here we are, half way through the year. I can hardly believe it’s the beginning of June. I tend to work a little obsessively and am trying to work on hyper-focusing on more than one thing at a time. (like meeting my daily writing goal and posting to my blog) I’m a work in progress, but aren’t we all? So, here’s what’s going on in my world right now. I’m working on Drifter, (closing in on the half way mark) and have a tentative finish date of June 30. Raise a glass, here’s to hoping! I am also working on 1931. I recently started a fun project–a very fictitious account of how Lisa and I came up with the idea for the 1929 series. Fiction about reality that created fiction. Feeling a bit like Inception here. But it is tremendous fun. I have 12 ‘episodes’ in the series, with one episode completed.
I also started two groups on Facebook. One, The Gardner’s Plot, where readers can get sneak peaks at works in progress, (no spoilers) more like ‘daily lines’. I am also sending out ‘Wordbound’ the fictitious account of my mental wanderings in segments in that group. So fb friends get a chance to read a lot for free before it goes to Amazon.
The second group is called “The Growing Garden”. I’ve had people email me more and more questions about writing or publishing. While I don’t know a lot, I am happy to share what I do know. When I was starting out it was a long, painful, soul-testing time. If I can help others feel not so lost in the process, that would be great.

If you are a reader and/or budding writer feel free to friend me on Facebook and request to join on or both of these groups. I’d be happy to have you.

  1. Okay. You’ve snared another avid reader of your tales! I am hooked. Thoroughly enjoyed 1929 and 1930. Looking forward to 1930. Just finished Short Stories and Elizabeth’s Heart. I LOVE reading entirely separate stories and finding Jonathan, Aryl and Caleb & their families in them!! Will be watching for new work….and I ‘think’ there are a couple of your books in circulation that I’ve yet to read. Keep ’em coming! As far as I’m concerned, you rank right up there with Charles Martin!!
